This is a fundraiser for Zenger Farm.  

Zenger Farm is a working urban farm that models, promotes and educates about sustainable food systems, environmental stewardship, community development and access to good food for all.

It was not too many years ago when honey and the honey bee provided a significant amount of the sweetness in our lives, when swarms were viewed with excitement and wonder, and populations of honey bees thrived.  It is the hope of the beekeepers planning the Tour de Hives that the tour will help people to reconnect with these roots.

Join us for a self guided tour highlighting backyard beekeepers in the Portland, Oregon urban landscape.  Come and meet your neighborhood beekeepers, learn about what they are doing to steward the honeybee, and see a wide spectrum of urban beekeeping styles.
